A 6 day trip to the Northwest is all what travellers hope to have a whole experience about cultures and customs of ethic minorities. After over 50 years of war against French Troops, Dien Bien Phu still remains historical relics that is to reveal the results and losses of Vietnam. Interestingly,Sapa still appears in travellers' itinerary.In truth, visiting the Northwest without Sapa is a pity.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi -Son La (L, D)

Leave your hotel in Hanoi at 7h00 for Son La. Your jeep takes our through lush forests, green valleys, breathtaking passes, soaring mountains before reaching Son La late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Son La.

Day 2: Son La - Dien Bien Phu (B, L, D)

Morning, you pay a visit to Son La Former Prison where the French detained the Vietnam patriots during their domination & ethnology museum to study the northwest ethnic minority groups' traditions, subcultures. Drive to Dien Bien Phu, with stopovers at the typical beauty spots and hill tribe minorities of hamlets. Afternoon, tour around the former battle to know how the French were defeated disgracefully in an unjust war. Overnight at hotel - Dien Bien Phu.

Day 3: Dien Bien Phu - Phong Tho (B, L, D)

After breakfast, you take a drive to Tam Duong. En route ,you meet numerous hill tribes minorities of H'mong, Dao, Kho Mu, Mang,..and watching the picturesque terrace fields drifting away beside the car windows. Overnight at hotel – in Paso Phong Tho.

Day 4: Phong Tho ( Paso ) - Sapa (B, L, D)

Am: Breakfast at hotel then drive to Sapa with stopover at waterfalls, markets of ethnic minority people, along the way.. stroll around to see the Sapa town. Overnight at hotel in SaPa.

Day 5: Sapa (B, L, D)

Day-long trek to Lao Chai and TaVan Villages with Sapa’s beauty spots and remote hamlets of H’mong & Dzao ethnic minorities. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 6: Sapa - Hanoi (B, L)

Am: 8h00 back to Ha Noi thru the spectacular northern countryside. Arrive in HaNoi at 17h00.
